C B. shares an experience that many can relate to—after a night out, nothing feels better than indulging in a slightly greasy steak and cheese. While it might not be a traditional Philly cheese steak, this local variation hits the spot, especially when paired with their piping hot chicken wings. The Vegetable Lo Mein has also garnered acclaim and is an excellent option for those seeking a vegetarian choice.

The cheese steak egg rolls are my favorite, make sure you get that!! Pete and Susan are the best and can make anything that you want!

I've been looking for a long time for an establishment to match the mighty YUM's in DC on 14th Street. New World is the closest so far as of yet!! 1st: they close at 3am!!.. Do we need to mention how brave these Chinese proprietors are to be open that late....on WEEKDAYS in DA HOOD?? 2nd: Nothing beats a nice, slightly greasy steak and cheese (these are NOT Philly cheese steaks by any stretch of the imagination) when you are blasted drunk!! 3rd: Nothing beats backing up that steak and cheese than a order of piping hot chicken wings! Now, if you don't live in this area, you probably have no interest nor business being here. I don't know the crime statistics on North Ave and Greenmount (which is a block away) but I'll bet that its not very good! So if you are brave enough (while drunk---liquid courage, right?) New World could do you right. We came here just shy of 3am...maybe around 245. Placed our order for: 5 Chicken Wings+fried rice $5 Half Steak and Cheese with the works $5 Vegetable Lo Mein $6? Soda $1.50 Vegetable Lo Mein was excellent, Chicken wings and Steak'n'Cheese was above average! The menu is really not very extensive but I'm sure they would make you whatever you wanted that they had ingredients for. I'm sorry I don't have pictures for you -- I was inebriated and gobbled my food before I remotely remembered to take the pictures...plus i had to keep my eye on the sidewalk wanderers.
